ASCAP Foundation Country Workshop
Ann, and 30 other songwriters, were selected to participate in the 2007 ASCAP Foundation Country Workshop for songwriters. The event was held at the ASCAP building in Nashville, TN on music row. They met on Tuesday nights for a total of six weeks. Each week brought special guests and helpful information.

The class was lead and directed by Rory Lee Feek. Rory is a seasoned professional Nashville songwriter with several number one country songs to his credit - including CHAIN OF LOVE, recorded by Clay Walker. He currently owns Giantslayer Records and Publishing.

Rory was assisted by Chad Green of ASCAP. Chad's position at ASCAP includes working with songwriters on a daily basis - helping them develop their skills and find their way in Nashville.

At the last meeting, Rory brought his wife, singer/songwriter Joey Martin. Together they shared their story with the class. Joey also shared her beautiful voice and sang a couple of songs from her new project as Rory played guitar. Then, they blessed everyone in the class with a free copy of the new project - STRONG ENOUGH TO CRY.

The workshop was a GREAT time for all. New friends and writing partners were made, needed information was learned, and everyone left the class inspired to raise their writing skills to the next level.
